Open 9th international festival-contest of Russian song and Russian romances accepts applications

Open 9th International festival-contest of Russian songs and Romances dedicated to USSR People's Artist Elena Obraztsova to be held in 2018 in Great Britain.

The main idea of the festival-contest is advance of Russian culture abroad, integration of two great cultures - British and Russian, attraction of English and Russian-speaking singers to Russian romances, propaganda of compositions by Russian composers and poets, search of talents, support of young performers and professionals, preservation and development of Russian vocal, music and poetic art.

An educational project Dedication to Elena Obraztsova, photo exhibition titled Perfect Life (Obraztsovaya Zhizn) and video-concert will be conducted at the festival.

The venue of the contest and gala-concert is Cadogan Hall, London, UK.

Open contest for finalists competing for the prize during International Festival of Russian Songs will take place in Cadon Hall on 29th of Aplril 2018. All contest participants will get diplomas of participants. Nominees of the contest will get diplomas of nominees.
The contest contains the following preliminary nominations:
  • Young talents - singers without any specific music degree or with basic music degree under 17 years
  • Amateur Vocalists - singers without any specific music degree or with basic music degree from 17 till 50 years
  • Professional singers in all music categories under 50 years
  • Children and Youth Vocal Ensembles, including trio and quartets. Performers under 17 years.
  • Vocal Ensembles with no age limits Threesome and quartet groups are ensembles too.
Applications and demo records for the finals are accepted until March 1, 2018.
