Violinist Maxim Vengerov to perform in Maryland

Violinist Maxim Vengerov and pianist Roustem Saitkoulov are to perform at the nonprofit multi-disciplinary arts center Strathmore, Maryland on January, 26 2018 at 8 pm. This Music Center is home to several arts and education partners including the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, The National Philharmonic, Washington Performing Arts, Levine Music, CityDance, InterPLAY, and Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras.

Maxim Vengerov draws inspiration equally from his mentor Mstislav Rostropovich and multiple genres of music. Vengerov has been inspired by many different styles of music, including baroque, jazz and rock. In 2007, he turned his attention to conducting. He has received numerous awards including the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance, two Gramophone Classical Music Awards, a Classic Brit Award, Edison Classical Music Awards, and many others.
