Loveless is nominated for BAFTA


KinopoiskLoveless by Russian director Andrey Zvyagintsev was included into the list by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in the Best Foreign Film Award nomination.

Just several days ago the Golden Globe award ceremony has concluded. Let us remember, Loveless was nominated for this prestigious prize awarded by Hollywood Foreign PressAssociation since 1944 in the Best Foreign Movie category. Unfortunately the prize went to the German drama by Fatih Akin In the Fade.

It's worth mentioning that Loveless has already collected impressive quantity of prizes, including Cannes jury prize, London International Film Festival, etc. This year Russian Oscar Committee has proposed Zvyagintsev's film to be nominated for Oscars.

Films from Chile, Cambodia, Germany, co-operational production of Swiss, German and French filmmakers to participate in competition. The winner's name to be announced in Los Angeles on January,7 2018.

Early this year the Solzhenitsyn House of Russia Abroad received the key to a new building, where the Museum of Russian Immigration is to open soon. Now is the hardest part of work, placing the exhibits so that they would “talk” to the visitors. Igor Domnin, the deputy director for the Solzhenitsyn House of Russia Abroad and Andrey Vovk, the director for the Russian branch of Ralph Appelbaum Associates are discussing the ways to do it.
Not so long ago Russkiy Mir Foundation published news about the grave of the first wave emigrant Georgy Gorchakov in Tunisia. The grave is situated at the local Gammarth cemetery located near Tunis. Our compatriot Natalia Kupcha lives for 40 years in this country, was a good friend of Georgy Nikolaevich.
